How this site makes money
The codes here pay the owner the same amount they pay you. Nothing else funds the site.
The arrangement, in full
Every code listed is a personal referral code belonging to the site owner. Australian referral programs of this kind are two-sided: when you sign up with a code, you receive a credit and the person who shared it receives one too.
For Amber Electric that is $120 to you and $120 to the owner, each paid as $10 per month across twelve months.
This does not reduce your credit. You receive the same $120 whether you use a code from this site, from a friend, or from a forum thread. If you would rather someone else received the referrer's share, use their code instead — your outcome is identical, and that is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
What the site is not paid for
- No company pays for placement, ranking, or a favourable description here.
- There are no display ads and no sponsored posts.
- There are no affiliate links dressed up as referral codes.
- No data is sold, because none is collected.
Where a product has real drawbacks, they are written on its page. A referral credit is not a reason to recommend something to someone it does not suit.
Trademarks and affiliation
AUReferralCodes is an independent site with no affiliation to, endorsement from, sponsorship by, or commercial relationship with any company named on it, including Amber Electric Pty Ltd. Company names, product names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify the services described, which is nominative use.
If you are a rights holder and want a reference changed or removed, that request will be actioned.
Accuracy and liability
Offer values, eligibility and pricing change without notice. Everything here is checked on the date shown on the relevant page, and it may still be out of date by the time you read it. Confirm current terms with the provider before committing to anything.
Nothing on this site is financial, energy or legal advice, and none of it accounts for your circumstances. For independent electricity plan comparison, use Energy Made Easy, run by the Australian Energy Regulator, which takes no commission from retailers.
Consumer law
Australian Consumer Law prohibits misleading or deceptive conduct, which includes presenting a paid recommendation as a neutral one. Stating the owner's interest on every page rather than hiding it in a footer is how this site meets that obligation. More context is on the how referral codes work page.
